What the agent can do
- Answers in direct chats and in groups, and understands voice notes, files and images.
- Remembers the group's context: the whole group, including forum topics, is one space with shared memory.
- Replies in the same forum topic the message came from.
- Opens the dashboard as a Telegram Mini App without a separate sign-in.
Access and billing
The @octodus_bot bot acts as itself. The owner of a group space is the person who taps "Authorize this chat": they pay for the agent's work in that group. A direct chat belongs to you.
How to connect
Direct chat
- Open @octodus_bot and tap Start.
- Write your task in plain text or send a voice note.
Group
- Add @octodus_bot to the group. The bot asks you to pick a language.
- Tap "Authorize this chat". The person who taps needs a subscription or energy on their balance.
- Make the bot a group admin so it sees every message, not only the ones addressed to it.
When the bot replies
- In a direct chat: to every message.
- In a group: when you reply to one of its messages, mention @octodus_bot, or call it by name ("Octo"), including by voice. The owner can add nicknames for the bot in a space.
When it is an admin, the bot reads the group's other messages as context.

Spaces and connectors
Each direct chat and each group is its own space. Outside services (Yandex Disk, Tracker and others) are attached to it in the dashboard by space, by tag or by integration, as described in Connecting services to spaces.
Limits
- Only one Octo bot can serve a group. If the other brand's bot is already there, the new bot leaves the group.
- Forum topics do not split memory: a group has one space.
- The owner's spending limits and energy balance apply.
Troubleshooting
- The bot is silent in a group
- Check that the chat is authorized and that the message replies to the bot, mentions it or calls it by name.
- "I'm not an admin here…"
- Telegram only delivers messages addressed to the bot. Make the bot an admin.
- "To authorize this chat you need an active subscription or credits…"
- The person who tapped has no energy. Top up and tap again.
- "There can only be one Octo per group"
- The other brand's bot already serves the group. Use it, or remove it from the group first.
- An out-of-energy message
- The space owner's balance is empty. The owner tops it up from the link in the message.
